Fixes for the common problems.

Start with doctor

workpaper doctor

It checks your setup, the API, the computers, the sign-in service and your account, and says which one is failing.

"no route to host" or "could not resolve host": Usually an old DNS answer stuck on your machine. On macOS run sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder, then try again.
"<name> is stopped": Start it with workpaper start <name>, or use workpaper run <name>, which starts it for you.
"no computer named …": Check the name with workpaper ls. Names are per account: a computer made on the free trial is only yours after you sign in.
Typing feels slow: Outside India, that's the distance. See How it works. Running commands with exec is less affected than typing.
"your session expired": Run workpaper auth login again.
The computer stopped by itself: It ran for an hour, or did nothing for an hour. Nothing is lost; start it again.
