Copying files

Move files between your machine and a computer.

workpaper cp ./data.csv my-agent:/home/user/data.csv   # upload
workpaper cp my-agent:/home/user/out.png ./            # download
workpaper cp ./notes.md :notes.md                      # :path = last used computer

• Exactly one side has to be a computer, written name:path, or :path for the one you used last.
• Relative paths on the computer start in /home/user.
• Any size works. Big files go up in 90 MB pieces and are joined on the computer.
• One file at a time. For a folder, make an archive first: tar czf folder.tgz folder.
• The computer has to be running. If it's stopped, start it with workpaper start.

To get code onto a computer, git clone inside it is usually faster than copying.
