Help
Early days
What to expect from a young service, honestly.
Workpaper is run by a small team on hardware we own. That's how the price is this low. It also means we're not a giant cloud yet, and you should know what that looks like.
Things that can happen
- Waiting for a computer. We have a limited number of machines. When they're full, the CLI waits in line for a free one ("you're 2nd in line") instead of failing, and nothing is charged while you wait. Paying users go first; free trials may be paused to make room. We pause new Pro sign-ups when we're at capacity and add machines as people join, so the wait should be rare.
- Short outages. Updates and hardware problems can make Workpaper unreachable for a few minutes. Stopped computers aren't affected; running ones may be interrupted.
- Slower from far away. Everything runs in India for now.
- Rough edges. Error messages that could be clearer, features that are missing. Tell us and we'll fix them.
What we promise
- Stopping a computer never loses your work.
- If something breaks, we'll say so plainly instead of pretending it didn't.
- We read every message. Write to support@workpaper.co.
What not to use Workpaper for, yet
Anything where an hour of downtime would really hurt you, or data you can't afford to lose. We'll get there; we're not there today.
