Introduction
What Workpaper is, who it's for, and where it stands today.
Workpaper gives you, or your AI agent, a real Linux computer in the cloud. You start one with a single command, use it like any other machine, and stop it when you're done. You pay only while it runs.
What you get
- A Linux computer with 2 vCPU, 4 GB of memory and 10 GB of disk, ready in under a second.
- Full internet access,
sudo, and a normal shell. Install whatever you need. - Claude Code, Codex and a headless browser, already installed. See Coding agents.
- Stopping keeps everything: files, installed software, even programs that were running.
- A CLI that works the same for a person at a terminal and for an agent in a script.
Who it's for
People who want to give an AI agent its own machine to work on, instead of their laptop. And people who want a throwaway Linux box for an hour without setting up a server.
Honest status
Workpaper is new and small. Everything runs on our own hardware in India, and there isn't a lot of it yet. Expect the occasional hiccup, like "no free computers right now". We fix things fast and we'll tell you what we know. Read what that means in practice.
